DETAILS

We feed people every day in the East Bay. But why are so many families still struggling to afford food in the first place? Join TVNPA and the Tri-Valley Antipoverty Collaborative for this candid conversation as we move beyond emergency response and address the deeper economic and policy forces driving hunger. How do we meet urgent needs while also tackling housing costs, wages, access to benefits, rising healthcare costs, and other pressures that push families into crisis? Justice on the Table will feature a keynote address from sheila Burks of the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB), move into a panel discussion moderated by Regi Young of the ACCFB, featuring John Bost of Open Heart Kitchen, Christine Dillman of Tri-Valley Haven, and Janette Kennedy of Loaves and Fishes, before wrapping up with a call to action from Jared Call of the California Association of Food Banks. If we want fewer food lines in the future, we have to work differently. Please join us.
